Overall, higher proportion of men were arrested compared to women. Additionally, the most popular reason for arrests among both genders was public drinking, whereas the least factor was no answer.
According to the pie charts, 32% of males had been arrested during the five-year period. While the women’s arrested rate was more than three times lower than the men at only 9%.
Regarding the reasons for arrests, the bar chart shows that public drinking was the leading cause for both genders, with nearly 35% of female arrests and around 30% of male arrests. Drink driving was the second most common reason, particularly among men, where approximately 25% were arrested. Nevertheless, no answer was the least reason for being arrested, which was only 7% for women and under 5% for men.
