The pie charts delineate the percentage of five different types energy generated in a country between 1983 and 2003.
From an overall perspective, it is discernable that oil was the largest energy source to generate energy in both years, while the data of nuclear power and natural gas experienced a steady decrease. Notably, the statistics of hydro power stayed constant.
Examining the figures more closely, in 1983, the energy production from oil was the highest level, which reached at 42%, while coal and nuclear power recorded at 23% and 20%, respectively. However, hydro power production accounted for only 4%.
As for the statistics of oil saw a 4% decline oil production to 38% in 2003, and the data of coal exhibited a fall to 13%. Surprisingly, the statistics of both nuclear power and natural gas experienced an upward trajectory of 4% and 10%, which made up a quarter and a fifth of the total, for each.
