The pie charts illustrate the proprtion of the use of water in three different categories Industrial, Agricultural and Domestic across 6 different regions.
Overall, Agriculture is the dominant consumer of water in four regions, especially in Centeral Asia, South East Asia and Africa, whereas industry takes the second place in Europe and North America, Domestic use recorded the lowest use of water in all regions.
North America and Europe recorded their highest use of water on industry by “48%” and “53%” respectively, While Agriculture takes a smaller proprtion at “32%” in Europe and “39%” in North America, whilst household use is relatively modest, making up around 13-15%.
By contrast, water usage in Centeral asia, Africa, South East Asia and South America are overwhelmingly Agricultural, thus taking the highest proprtions by “88%”, “84%”, “81%” and “71%” respectively, In these regions, industrial use is minimal, ranging from 5% to 12%, and domestic use remains under 10%.
Unlike South America, which relies heavily on agriculture however it has a higher use of water domestic wise yet a similar usage in industry.
