The graph depicts the average household spending in Vietnam over the period between 1999 and 2019.
Overall, the percentage of each group of expenditures are nearly the same. In general, all the expenditures in Japan had almost equal shares.
Even though, throughout the years, in Japan other goods and services were the category with the largest expense with 29%, meanwhile in Malaysia the option housing was more spending with 34%. However, this sector was not that popular amoung Japanese individuals, so their income for housing made up 21%. Citizens of Vietnam spent a considerable amount of money on food. According to the chart, in both countries this expense was the second largest category.
Across both countries the health care spending group plateaued and was the one with the lowest expenses. In Japan, health care accounted for 6%, while in Malaysia the percentage was even lower (3%). Moreover, the sphere transport reached 20% in Japan, but in Malaysia this percentage changed sizeable and was reduced by half.
