The provided four pie charts compares electricity generated during 2009 in Germany and France from all sources and renewables which are illustrated in billion kWh.
Looking from an overall perspective, as it illustrated , it is noticeable that both countries, Germany and France, have different proportion of sources for generating electricity. Moreover, the main source in Germany was conventional thermal while nuclear was in France.
Starting with all types pie chart, divided into t portions, in Germany the most generated electricity, thermal, consumes more than a half of pie chart whereas in France it only took 10.3% which makes it the lowest point from all. Oppositely, the nuclear accounted 128.8 billion kWh in Germany but in France it constituting the highest proportion such as more than seven of ten. The source renewables that were a bit over than 10% hence making it mediocre.
Another point worth noting is renewables pie chart that is consisting of hydroelectric, wind, biomass and solar.Furthermore, in terms of renewable sources in Germany, biomass and wind power nearly have the same percentage with more that a third. In comparison with Germany, these sources only have a low proportion at just 8.1% and 10.5% respectively in France, and the highest value was hydroelectric sources at 80.5%.
