The given circle charts compare the shares of people who migrated to and from a European country on several grounds in 2009.
It is, overall, clear that the proportions of immigrants coming for vocational purposes were not as high as those of emigrants leaving with such reasons, whereas the reverse is true for the figures for educational and personal reasons.
Focusing on the data regarding immigrants, a sharp quarter of them migrated to a country for personal reasons while the total share of those coming on work purposes was way higher than a quarter, accounting for 38%: of those 23% had a definite job while 15% had not found a vacancy yet. Also, education was the reason for 15% of people, which is also the index of those who had other reasons.
With regard to emigrants, statistics for them were significantly varied with occupational intentions coming on top of the list. More than a half of locals departed on vocational grounds; 38% of them were employed whilst the unemployed constituted 13%. Moreover, the figures for those who leaving for education or aimlessly accounted for the proportions hovering around mid-ten, whereas 15% of emigrants had reasons pertaining to accompany/family.
