These two pie charts provide information on children’s recreational activities according to their gender.

From an overall perspective, it is apparent that there were considerable differences between girls’ and boys’ preferences. Additionally, in terms of sports interests, boys were more inclined towards sports involving balls, whereas girls, apart from netball, participated in other activities such as dancing and gymnastics.

The most popular cultural and leisure activity among boys was playing computer games, which attracted 34% of participants, while dancing was the most favored activity among girls, with 27% of girls (27% of them) engaging in it. Reading had the lowest participation rate of 2% among boys. In contrast, it was the second most preferred activity in the girls’ community.

Listening to music was equally popular, with 10% of both males and females engaging in this activity. The percentage of boys playing soccer (17%) was comparable to girls playing netball (15%). Gymnast girls and skateboarder boys constituted the smallest proportion of athletes in each gender category, both accounting for 11%.
