The maps show the transformation of the ground floor of a building between 1958 and today. Overall, the building underwent substantial changes over the period, being converted from an office into an apartment before eventually becoming a flower shop. While the entrance, central corridor, and kitchen remained unchanged throughout, almost all of the other rooms were either repurposed or replaced to suit the building’s new function.
Between 1958 and 1984, the building served as an office. On the left-hand side, there was a meeting room in the northwest corner, followed by the assistant’s and secretary’s offices, with a toilet placed in the southwest corner. On the opposite side, the kitchen was situated in the northeast corner, while the manager’s office took up most of the middle-right section. A reception area was located beside the entrance in the southeast corner.
From 1985 to 2000, the premises were turned into an apartment. The meeting room was transformed into a living room, whereas the assistant’s office, secretary’s office, and toilet were replaced by a large bathroom and shower. On the right, the kitchen remained in its original position, but the former manager’s office and reception were turned into bedrooms.
Since 2001, the building has functioned as a flower shop. The kitchen has again remained in the same location, while the right side of the building, where the living room, bathroom and showers previously stood, was converted into gift cards section, flower display area, and play area. In addition, the bedrooms made way for an office and another flower area.
