The process diagram depicts how cocoa beans proceed to produce different products.
Overall, the mechanism consists of mainly three stages with several steps which start from havesting and end with final productions used by customers.
First and foremost, the ripe cocoa beans are picked from the cocoa tree. Secondly, the shells of whole beans are removed before being dried to end the initial stage. After that, the second stage of this process is started with the dried beans are pressed. Some of these pressed beans are pressed further to make cocoa cake, and the rest are refined to make industrial chocolate which sugar is added.
In the final stage, the cocoa cakes are ground to prepare cocoa powder and liquor. Then cocoa powder is dispatched to the market to be used by consumers, and cocoa liquor is sent to industry to make cakes and drinks. Sugary industrial chocolates are sent for final processing. Eventually, finished chocolate products are consumed by consumers.
