Overall, Ireland had the highest unemployment percentage in the chart in 1994 with the lowest for Japan. In addition, Poland dominated the chart in 2004 while Ireland hit the bottom point.
In 1994, Ireland accounted the highest point of 14,8%, followed by 12,4% of Poland and 11,8% of Italy. In the next decade, the Ireland’s rate dropped to the lowest point of 4,4%, and Italy decreased slightly to 8,4%, while Poland peaked at 19%.
For Canada, the UK, and Germany in the beginning period, Canada comprised of 10,6%, which was slightly higher than the UK and Germany, at 9,5% and 7%, respectively. In 2004, both Canada and the UK experienced a noticeable decline to 7,7% and 4,7%, respectively, whereas the figure for Germany rose steadily to 9,4%.
Returning to the USA, Australia, and Japan, the USA consisted of the highest proportion among all, at 7,2%, followed by Australia’s 5% and Japan’s 2,7%. In the last year, both Australia underwent a minimal rise to 5,4% while Japan saw a surge to 4,7%. In contrast, the USA fell significantly to 5,4%.
