Overall, the international research students saw an increase over the period. Local male learners dominated the major in both periods. Additionally, local female students accounted for almost the largest number of students, despite a decline for almost ten hundredths of the population.
Looks at the table, the total number of pupils rose from 38,849 in 2001 to 54,081 in 2010. The local learners were the largest contributors, increasing their numbers slightly from 33,657 to 39,488. Meanwhile, the international trainees grew for almost threefold.
Regarding the pie charts, local male students made up the vast majority of the population, although it decreased from 87% in 2001 to 38% in 2018. In contrast, the proportion of non-local female students allocated to percent nearly quadrupled, rising from 4% to 15%. The percentage of non-local males changed slightly, respectively, increasing for 3%. Local female learners decreased gradually for approximately 10%.
