In 2002, Turkey ranked first in food, drinks, and tobacco spending and constituted 32.14%, while Ireland paid a little less, at 29%, and Sweden spent the least on this category, at 15.77%. The amount of leisure and education consumed in five different countries saw a similarity, in which they all spent less than 5% of their budget. Of the five nations, the proportion of expenditure on this group was the highest in Turkey, around 4.35%, and lowest in Spain, at 2%.
Turning to the remaining category, the highest money consumption was observed in Italy, which made up 9%, while Sweden spent the least in this group, at only 5.4%. The figures for the other countries were roughly similar, hovering around 6.5% each.
