The table delineates how much diary products are consumed by different age groups in one country in Europe.
In general, it is clear that younger people consume less milk and butter, while the elderly from 65 and above are the most common milk consumers. However, the fat content is highest in the 25 and under age group.
Looking at the details, the 65 and above age group has the highest milk consumption, which is 1900ml, with 30% of which is full fat and 70% low fat. Milk consumption among 25-45 and 45-65 age group are quite equal, at 1650ml and 1670ml, while the fat content of which are 20% full fat, 80% low fat and 45% full fat, 55% low fat, respectively. Inaddition, the 25 and under age group consume the least milk, at 1200ml, but they consume more full fat than low one, at 59% and 49%, respectively.
Regarding butter consumption, the 45-65 age group consume the most butter, at 60g with 50% full fat and 50% low fat. The 65 and over age group’s butter consumption is two times smaller than that of the 45-65 age group, at 30g with 49% full fat and 51% low fat. The figure for the 25 and under and 26-45 age group are much lower, at 12g and 19g, with the fat content of which are 60% full fat, 40% low fat and 38% full fat, 62% low fat, respectively. It is clear that young people at the age of 25 and under consume more full fat, while people from 26-45 consumer more low fat.
