The table illustrates the proportion of women and men were recruited in four different sections including, shops, health, manufacturing,and tourism in 1990, 2000, and 2010.
Looking from an overall perspective, the highest percentage of women were employed in tourism industries, whereas employers were willing to employ men in manufacturing section over the entire period.
To begin, the percentage of men who worked in retail parts remained constant at 13%, while that of women saw a slight rise from 7% to 9%. It is evident that the proportion of women in health part were higher than men. However, by 2010, the percentage of both women and men experienced increase in health sectors at 15% and 10%, respectively.
With regard to the remaning types of industries, in 1990, 30% of men were working in manufacturing parts, followed by 7% for women. However, in the subsequent years, the proportion of men and women dropped to 10% and 3% respectively. Finally, women accounted for the highest proportion of employees in tourism industries with 27% by the end of period, while only 10% of men were working in the same section.
