The table depicts data and forecasts about differences in proposition of the people aged 65 and more in Canada, Germany and the UK between 1988 and 2030.
Overall, it can be seen that all countries predict to increase the population till 2030, while Germany would be the hightest aged 65 and more population among the three countries. Interestingly though, the UK had the same population from 1988 to 2000.
Looking at the details, Canada and Germany had similar increasing pattern, around 5% increase from 1988 to 2000. Then, both countries forecast to increase around 5% in 2030. Germany is predicted to have the highest population of aged 65 and more in 2030, at 30.42%.
On the other hand, the UK’s population of aged 65 and more was remain constant from 1988 to 2000, at 14%. Then, in 2030, population of the UK is predicted to increase by 6%, which would accounted for 20.35%. However, population of the UK is forecasted as the lowest among the three countries.
