Information and predictions concerning the change of population aged 65 and above in three countries (Canada, Germany and UK) are depicted in the table below in three years (1988, 2000 and 2030). Units are measured in percentages.
Overall, the table below illustrates the population changes in percentages, predicting modification in its structure based on past results in three countries.
Percentages had not grown a lot, changing from 14.23 per cent to 14.89 per cent in two years: 1988 and 2000 in the UK, In comparison with Canada, which experienced an increase in this index from 16.32 per cent to 20.67 per cent respectively. German, being a leader, changed from 20.45 per cent to 25.32 per cent.
The 2030 predictable graph shows that in all countries huge changes are expected, representing a bigger increase, compared to two previous years, therefore UK, Canada and Germany will have about 20.35 per cent, 26.35 per cent and 30.42 per cent respectively.
