The table provides information about the population( in millions) for four countries namely Argentina, Indonesia, Italy and Republic of Korea in 2003, along with the forecasts for 2025 and 2050. Overall, in other countries, excluding Italy, the number of people living is expected to increase. Indonesia had the highest population amongst the four countries at the beginning of the period, and a similar trend is expected in the future.
Firstly, the Indonesian population is expected to rise steeply from 2003 to 2025 by 36 million, while an increase of 38 million is anticipated between 2025 and 2050. However, the populations of Argentina and Korea are predicted to grow slightly. On the other hand, across the period, the Italian population is projected to fall gradually.
The Argentinian population is expected to climb by a constant 14 million throughout the period, whereas the Korean populace is predicted to increase by 4 million in 2025 and expected to remain the same, thereafter. The Italian population, however, is expected to decrease by 7 million by 2025, and an additional 2 million by 2050.
