The table provides information about the average amount of time that people from three different age groups spent their free time on a particular activities in 2025.
Overall, it is clear that younger and middle aged people spent the most time using the internet, whereas watching TV was the most popular activity among aged 50 and over. Reading and exercising generally rated for the least popular activity.
Looking first at the two younger age groups, using the internet was the most time-consuming activity, which takes 14 hours per week among 18-29 year-olds and 11 hours among those aged 30-49. Watching TV was the second most popular activity, around 12 and 10 hours respectively. Socializing accounted for 8 hours among younger aged group, compared with middle aged group which is 7 hours. In contrast, reading is the least common activity among 18-29 years olds, at just 4 hours, while this activity included 6 hours among middle-aged group.
Turning to the oldest age group, watching TV was the most favourite activity among those people, about 15 hours included. Reading was the second popular thing, which is 9 hours respectively. Using the internet and excersizing were quite at the same statistics, 7 hours for using internet and 6 hours for excersizing per week. And the least popular activity during leisure time is socializing , which is about 5 hours.
