The figure for the former country saw a dramatic increase to 1162256 cars in 2006, whereas the latter witnessed a less significant growth to 352759 cars. The figure for Argentina continued to grow, reaching 466089 cars in the final year, whilst there was a negligible decline in the figure for Thailand, dropping to 999963 cars.
On the other hand, Australia experienced a reverse trend. The number of cars produced in this country declined from 452,163 cars in 2003 to 341268 cars in 2006, a figure which then further decreased to 245264 cars in 2009.
