Overall, children under 9 years old in both genders used bicycles the most, while people aged 40-59 rode a bicycle the least. In addition, women preferred to cycle than men during the period.
Looking at the age group between 0 and 9, the percentage of children riding a bike was the highest in the table, at 51.4%, while the figure for males was almost the same, at 50,3%. By contrast, the proportion of bicycle users aged from 40 to 59 was the lowest, at 12,3% for females and 8% for males. For the oldest age group, 18,5% of females rode bicycles, which is about 5% higher than that of males.
The rate of females who were 10-17 used bikes was 42,2%, compared to 24,6% of males in the same group. In the age group 18-39, only 9,7% of males riding bicycle, whereas the figure for females was significantly higher, at 17,1%
