The given table illustrate the proportions of the population riding bicycles by age groups from 0 to above 60 in a town in 2011.
At first glance, it is readily obvious that the percentage of people between 0-9 years old was highest while that of people from 40 to 59 was lowest by the year 2011. Moreover, the figure for female was always higher than that for male.
First, it can be seen that the proportion of children riding bikes was the highest with 51,4% at female and about 50% at male in 2011. After that, teenagers from 10 to 17 years old were the second in both female and male, above 40% and 24%, respectively. In terms of the age group between 18-39 and above 60 years old, the statistics were quite low, relatively 27% and 32%, respectively. Furthermore, the percentage for adults from 40 to 59 was lowest, just 12,3% for female and 8% for male.
Moreover, in the year 2011, the data for female was always higher than that for male ,about 2,5% more and less, in the age group 0-9, 40-59 and above 60. In addition, by the age group from 10 to 17 and 18 to 39, the figure for women was much higher than that for male, about 18% and 8%, respectively.
