The table gives information about utilization of water for various sectors in four countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Canada,measured in percentage.
Overall, agriculture is the largest consumer of water in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, whereas industry uses the most water in Canada.New Zealand shows a more balanced distribution between industry and agriculture.Notably, domestic use accounts for the smallest proportion in all four countries.
As for the largest figures in water use, 82% of water is used for agriculture in Egypt ,the largest share in the table, followed by Saudi Arabia with 64%.Meanwhile, the proportion of water used for industry in Saudi Arabia makes up 30% ,which is three times as high as that of Egypt(10%). Additionally, the figure for domestic use in Egypt and Saudi Arabia are 6% and 8%, respectively, which is the lowest figures in this sector.
The utilization of water in remaining countries , Canada allocates 20% of water for domestic sector, while New Zealand constitutes only half as much , just 10%. Similarly, the figure for industrial sector in Canada is significantly higher than New Zealand with 70% and 46%, respectively. By contrast, the proportion of water use that New Zealand devotes for agriculture accounts for 44%, compared to Canada with just 10%.
