Overall, it is evident that Dak Lak experiences a warm climate throughout the year. The data clearly show that the year can be split into two main seasons: a dry season which is characterized by high levels of sunshine in the first half of the year, and a rainy season with increased humidity during the second half.
Regarding temperature, the average remains quite stable, staying between 21.2 degrees Celsius – the lowest in January – and 26 degrees Celsius – the highest in April and May. Sunshine hours peaks in March, reaching 270 hours. Following this, the amount of sunshine decrease during the summer months, hitting a low of 145 hours in August, before rising again towards the end of the year.
In contrast, rainfall and humidity levels changes significantly. The period from January to April are very dry, and February has the lowest rainfall of only 1 mm. However, from May onwards, rainfall starts to growing quickly and reaches a peak of 434 mm in September. Humidity follows a similar trend; it is lowest in March at 73%, but it increase during the wet months and reach its highest level of 89% in September.
