The given table depicts the number of different degree of injuries resulting from gun and knife crime in Great Britan, within 1998 to 2001, along with their increased proportion.
Overall, most of the injuries took place in between 2001 and 2005, whereas all types of accidents were constant throughout 2006-2007. Out of four different cases, people were mostly the victim of slight harm.
In between 1998-2001, least reports of all fatal, serious and slight injury was caused, at 49, 162, 653, respectively, by gun and knife crime, which increased dramatically in between 2002-2001, with fatal damage at it’s highest, at 95. Similarly, serious injury became highest between 2005-2006, at 476 and slight harm became highest between 2004-2005, at 3424.
On the other hand, crime due to gun and knife were constant, at 58 between 2006-2007.Gun and knife crime resulted in the increase of slight crime by 505%, serious crime by 194% and fatal crime by 18%, which resulted in the total increase of 342% within the given period of time.
