Overall, it is clear that the number of minor injuries is always the biggest number and has increased dramatically over the period. The deaths have fluctuated between 1998 and 2007.
Regarding each degree of injury, the number of slight injuries is more than the number of deaths and serious injuries. Moreover, the figures for serious injuries are the second biggest number over the period.
Regarding the fatal, serious, and minor injuries from 1998 and 2007, the fatalities have fluctuated with a surge from 1998 to 2002 and 2004 – 2005, a minimal decline from 2002 to 2004 and 2005 to 2007. Especially, the number of fatalities reached a peak at 95 in 2001-2002 while 1998-1999 and 2005-2006 had the least deaths over the period. Therefore, at the finishing of the period, the percentage increase for deaths is 18%. Both the serious and slight injuries show an upward trend between 1998 and 2006 but it has a slight reduction between 2006 and 2007. The percentage increase of serious and slight injuries is 194% and 405%. It leads to the total number of injuries by 342% over the period.
