The table gives information about the number of worldwide travelers who visited 9 countries in different parts of the world and also compares the changes in the percentage of tourists in the years 2009 and 2010. Units are measured in millions.
Overall, there had been increases in the influx of tourists in most countries, while others showed no change and a decline in total numbers. Furthermore, the most substantial growth was recorded in the number of people Germany welcomed from all over the world despite being one of the least numbers of visitors at the beginning.
According to the data, countries like Germany, China and Turkey had relatively more visitors in the second year compared to other parts of the world. The number for Germany almost doubled in terms of visitors as it was 11 million in the first year ,and then reached 23 million. Similarly, China and Turkey experienced increase in the numbers of people who decided to travel these places, which had upward trends regarding to change in proportions with 55% and 33% respectively.
As for other remaining countries, France was the only place which showed no change in the number of people came internationally and remained at the same 76 million visitors. Other countries, such as US and Spain had subtle rises with around 1.5%, whereas UK and Italy welcomed slightly more visitors with 1 to 2 millions in 2010.
