The given table illustrates that the proportion of energy which was produced from five various renewable energy resources in UK and the number of employees who worked there in 2009.
It is widely believed that producing energy from water was common and the highest proportion of energy was provided from hydropower but the number of employees was the fewest among other resources. The least percentage of energy was gained from the Sun while the huge number of employees worked there.
In detail, 13,7% of energy was taken from hydropower and it was the highest proportion among other resources while the fewest number of employees which was 1,013 people worked there compared to other energy resources. Second resource which provide higher indication with 10,2% was Wind power and 1,198 individuals employed there.
The proportion of Tidal power and Geothermal energy resources was slightly differ from each other with 6,8% and 6,9% respectively but the number of geothermal power workers was higher with 4,590, whereas 2.034 employees worked in Tidal power resource. Solar energy provided the least percentages energy, at 3,6%, but 12,450 employees worked there.
