The picture illustrates two types of age group categories who took part in the marathon between 2008 and 2012. Overall, it can be seen that over the four years, people in 18-39 age group were 1.5 times more likely to participate in the marathon than those aged 40 and over, and also every year witnessed more participants than in every past year.
Moving to a more detailed analysis, the number of individuals who were in age group 18-39 increased consistently to 150 every year except for 2010 to 2011, because these years experienced a rise to 100. For example, the total number of individuals in the marathon increased gradually between 1,350 and 1,500. Nevertheless, next age group(40+) number changed to 50 every year until 2012. One example for that, there was rise between 800 and 850 from 2008 to 2009. However, during the period of 2011 to 2012, people in the 18-39 age group were 1,050, which was 100 more than in 2011 in 2012.
Moreover, the total number of participants increased gradually every year. Specifically, the marathon saw an annual growth of approximately 100-200 runners. Consequently, the overall figure rose significantly from 2,000 in 2008 to 2,800 by 2012.
