The line graph compares the number of international students from Asia, Africa, Europe and North America studying at a UK university between 1995 and 2015.
Overall, Asian students made up the largest group throughout the period and showed a significant increase. In contrast, the figures for Africa and Europe changed only slightly, while North America experienced a noticeable rise towards the end of the period.
In 1995, about 60 students from Asia studied at the university. This number increased steadily to around 70 in 2000 and 90 in 2005, before reaching approximately 120 in 2015. This shows a consistent upward trend over the 20 years.
The number of European students was about 50 in 1995. It rose slightly to around 55 in 2000, then fell back to 50 in 2005. After that, it increased again to about 55 in 2010, before returning to roughly 50 in 2015. Similarly, African student numbers remained relatively low and stable, starting at about 20 in 1995, rising to nearly 30 in 2010, and then dropping back to around 20 by 2015.
North American students numbered approximately 40 in 1995 and stayed at a similar level until 2005. However, after 2010, the figure increased sharply, reaching about 70 in 2015.
