Overall, the amount of export of the UK decreased in all categories, except for medication and, similarly, the proportion of goods sent to European countries fell from 2000 to 2020.
The major imports from the UK were cars, gold and turbojets which were sold in 26.8, 21 and 20.3 billion dollars respectively in 2020. The change that happened in one year was notably different with 30.7 % fewer cars being sold which was three times bigger drop than that of in gold sales. The decline in the amount turbojet export was 23.2 %.
The export of medication increased in 2020 unlike other products. The total amount was 18.3 billion dollars which was 1.6% higher than previous year. The crude oil export experienced the biggest drop with almost 32% constituting only 16.1 billion dollars in 2020.
From the bar graph it is easy to see that the British trade has much increased with non-European countries during the initial two decades. Starting from 55% in 2000, the percentage of export from the UK to Europe decreased gradually reaching 43% in 2020.
