The line graphs illustrate the imports from Australia and Japan in terms of New Zealand dollars between 1994 and 2004.

Over all, the amount of imports from Australia to New Zealand was two fold increased over the period while that from Japan to New Zealand was decreased about one third over the time. There were fluctuations in import amounts for both countries.

Between the period of 1994 to 1999, imports from Australia and Japan was around 4000NZ$ and 3000NZ$ respectively. Both of the countries have dramatically increased rate of import and reached the peak in 2-3 year period. At the year 1999, the imports from Australia was significantly going down at the amount of 3000NZ$. The imports from Japan was gradually going down between these 5 year peroid and reached to the amount of nearly 4000NZ$.

There was a fluctuation in the import from Australia during 1999 and 2004, with significant high amount in between 2002 and 2001, and highest at the start of 2004 with amount of 8000NZ$. Between last 5 year of the given period, the imports from Japan was climbing again up to 6000NZ$ in 2000 but going down again until the end of the period.
