The image displays two comparison maps titled "1990" and "Present Day", both oriented with a north arrow in the top right corner. In 1990, a river flows north-south along the western edge, crossed by a "Footbridge" connecting to a horizontal central road intersecting a vertical road on the east. North of the horizontal road sits a "Factory" with a tall chimney and storage tanks, adjacent to a smaller "Car Park" containing parked cars. South of the road, a residential enclave labeled "Houses" comprises 9 houses interconnected by winding paths amid grassy areas with trees. In the Present Day map, the "Footbridge" is replaced by a "Road Bridge" extending the horizontal road across the river. The factory site is occupied by a large "Shopping Centre" with an adjacent "Expanded Car Park" to its east. South of the horizontal road, the housing area has been replaced by a "Park" containing walking paths, trees, a pond, and a pavilion, while to its east, across a pathway/road, sits a "Library" building.

The maps represents the changes in the layout of the centre of a town named Kingsford from 1990 to present date.
Overall, the center of the city underwent major changes throughout the period, the factory is replaces with shopping center and there are major changes toward making center green.
One of the major change took place in north, that is replacing the factory with a shopping complex. The adjacent car park, which was much smaller in past is now expanded to increase it’s capacity. Toward the west, there was a foot bridge in 1990 which is now reconstructed to make a wider road bridge.
All the houses that were present in south are now demolished to make area for a much greener park. There was a empty space in south east, next to the residenial area, there a library is constructed with a road connection library and is going beyond the library. The course of the river remained unchanged throughout the period
