The pictures illustrate town library development to modern between 2000 and 2013.

In 2000, town library still with traditional facilities, such as reading tables, bookshelves, reception desk and provided a reading area for children. The librarian’s office located right across the children reading area.

In 2013, town library was modernised to digital library with digital facilities. No more reception desk in 2013 due to the library system developed to self service for checkout, the library provided 2 kiosks in total for the self checkout service. Reading tables converted to study pods and no more bookshelves in 2013 because it was replaced by digital media, the library supplied 8 computers for visitors. Children reading area changed into interactive zone for children and librarian’s office transformed into tech support desk area.

Overall, the town library transformed from traditional library to digital library with a self service checkout. Additionally, the town library in 2013 created a study environment and interactive zone for kids.
