The two maps show how the layout of Castellon city in Spain has changed since 2000.
Overall, it is clear that Castellon has become much more urbanized city with far more shopping and transport facilities.
In 2000, a university was located in the north of Castellon, and it was on the left-hand side of trees. Both the train station and the old market were situated in the west of the city and a southern road for cars. Until now, one significant improvement is the construction of bar, cinema, and clubs in the coastal area near the port. Above these facilities the road for cars has been altered to be used only by pedestrians.
Both old market and train station have been replaced by a new shop, and police station, in the west side of the Castellon, respectively. In front of the police station, a new train station, tramline and halls for residents have been built. Tramline connects the university with the city center. In the south side of this building, a new covered market has been built, whereas the airport is still under construction.
