Overall, agriculture was the mons substantial sector in 2000, whereas healthcare and education , and trade, utilities, and transportation maintained substantial contributions in both years. By 2016 ,the construction sector saw a significant rise, whereas the agriculture sector experienced a noticeable decrease.

In 2000 , the construction sector accounted for a more 3% of Turkey s economy . By 2016 this figure had more than tripled to 10% .
