Firstly, Indonesian students were roughly at around 1 in 1982. However, in late 1993 there was a huge increase in the number of Indonesian students in Australia at around 23. Furthermore, Malaysian students peaked at 1997 and then decreased a bit in late 1998, Now the number of Malaysian students is at roughly 17.
Hong Kong saw different trends regarding increment, decrement, and consistency throughout the 4 decades. It firstly saw the first increase at 1988 and furthermore it also saw an increase in 1990. and in 1995 it saw its best rise. in the 2000s Hong Kong is at almost 19 in the number of students.
