Generally, both the percentage of film released and cinema ticket sales in three genres, Drama, comedy and fantasy in 2006 was higher than the data in 1996, while the romance genre in film released showed downward trend and remained stable for cinema ticket percentage in same period.
The percentage of movies genre drama released started at just above 25% and increased dramatically to 35% in 2006. The percetange of movies released genre comedy valued at 20% in 1996 and moved up to 30% in the final year. After that, the proportion of films released genre fantasy experienced a similar trend with comedy, began at around 11% and slightly rose to about 16% in 2006. Meanwhile, the proportion of films released genre romance remained static ar around 7% for a decade.
In 1996, the proportion of ticket sales of drama movies was at around 16% and slight increase to 16% in 2006. The proportion of ticket comedy movie sales was 20% at the beginning of the period and grew gradually to around 23% in the next decade. The ticket of fantasy movie sales was at approximately 3% in 1996 and rose to 75 in the final year. In contrast, the ticket sales of romance movie was started the period at 5% and devalued to 2% in 2006
