The pie charts provide data on the persentage of different career and academic choices which took by high school graduates in lakeside county in 2010 and 2020. Overall, the figure for starting a business, no idea and working (freelance and informal sectors) exhibited an upward trend. Moreover other choices- going to college and working- experienced a reduction with the former one seeing the biggest change.
Focusing on the increases, first, the share of starting a business, which made up 5% in 2010, witnessed a noticeable growth to less than one-fourth (24%) in 2020. At the initial point of 11% in 2010, the proportion of working (freelance and informal sactors) rose gradually to 13% in 2020. Finally, the percentage of no idea comprised 5% in 2010, a figure which then reached 15% in 2020.
In contrast, going to college and working choices fell over the years. Starting at 24% in 2010, the proportion of working underwent a considerable decline of 14%, to 24% in 2020. Last but not least, Going to college stood at 55% in 2010, but this was followed by a dramatic dipping to 38% in the last year.
