The two pie charts illustrate the proportions of five multiple career and academic choices taken by high school graduates in Lakeside Country between the years 2010 and 2020.
Overall, in both years, the choice of going to college comprised the biggest proportion, while the choice of having no idea was the least. However, in 2010, we can see that starting a new business was also the least chosen option, whereas it significantly increased and comprised one of the biggest proportions in 2020.
The choice of going to college decreased by 17% but still kept its place as the most chosen option by high school graduates and comprised 38 percent from 2010 to 2020. Likewise, working was another option that had a significant reduction between the years. In spite of these two options decreasing, starting a new business had an important rise from 5 percent to 24 percent.
Similarly, there was another increase in the choice of having no idea between the years. Working (in the freelancer and informal sectors), on the other hand, had a small rise of 2%; this choice was placed as one of the least chosen between the years 2010 and 2020.
