Band 6+: write a letter to a family member who is coming to stay with you, he/she will be arriving by train in the morning, but you won't be home until the evening, in your letter: - explain the arrangements you have made for them to get keys and enter the house - tell your relative how to get from the train station to your house - say when you will be home and suggest what you could do together that evening

Hi Buddy,

I trust this letter finds you in good health. I’m writing to inform you that I have a dentist appointment at 4 pm today, which is why I won’t be home when you arrive. However, I’ve made arrangements for you to pick up the apartment keys from my friend’s house. She lives at No. 15 on the 4th floor. The keys will be with her, so you can let yourself in. I’ve also prepared the guest room and stocked the fridge with some food for you to enjoy upon your arrival.

Even though I won’t be able to meet you at the train station, getting to my flat is quite simple. You’ll arrive at the West Bahnhof station. From there, take the exit onto Marria Street. Across the street, you’ll find the bus station. Take bus No. 18 and after 5 stops, get off at the John station. Look for the bakery shop; my apartment, No. 12, is right next to it. Go up to the 4th floor and you’ll find door No. 30.

Furthermore, please be prepared for an exciting evening ahead. We’ll be having a barbecue and some beer, and we’ll also be hosting Julia and Mark for dinner. We’ll eat and watch a comedy movie in the backyard of my flat. The only thing you need to bring is casual clothing, preferably a t-shirt. And I have a surprise planned for you at the end of our party.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Love,

Milad
