Dear Unni,

I hope this letter finds you well. Although my work schedule has been busy, I am doing well. I received your letter and am overjoyed about your upcoming visit!

As you will be traveling to Chennai, India, during summer, let me remind you that the climate will be very hot. Be sure to pack light clothing to keep you cool. My family is thrilled to meet you and spend quality time together. Currently, only my parents and I are staying at home, as my older brother lives in Canada. Oh, and don’t forget about Ricky, my playful dog—he’s looking forward to meeting you too!

I saw your note about gifts for my family. Honestly, you don’t need to bring anything; your visit is the greatest gift we could ask for. That said, since you insist, perhaps you could bring some chocolates and a ball for Ricky. I’m also so excited about all the fun beach days we’ll have together!

Until we meet, take care and have a safe journey!

Yours lovingly,

Aishwarya Muthukumar
