The line graph gives information about the amount of money allocated by the city council to book clubs over a period of fouryears.

On the whole, there were fluctuations in the financial support to book clubs by the city council and in the number of book clubs readers, but the graph shows an upward trend generally in both figures.

The size of the financial aid increase slightly from £20,000 in the first year to £25,000 in the second year. The following year saw a dramatic rise of £15,000 in the amount of money. And, it peaked at £40,000. However, the ending of the period, funding decrease slightly by £5,000.

There was a marginal decline in the membership numbers of book clubs between 6,000 in the first year and 5,000 in the second year. Even so, the following year, this was followed by a sharp growth to 10,000. Moreover, in the final year, it grew again by 2,000
