I hope this letter finds you well. I’m writing to inform you with regretful news about your upcoming birthday celebration. I want you to know how much I appreciate the invitation and how excited I was to join in the festivities. Unfortunately, I regret to inform you that I will not be able to participate in the party due to a prior job interview that I cannot reschedule.
