I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to invite you to a potluck dinner party at my new home to celebrate my recent move into the neighborhood. I’m really excited to get to know everyone and thought this would be a wonderful opportunity for us all to meet, share some good food, and enjoy a pleasant evening together.

The party will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, starting at 7:00 p.m., at 12 Greenfield Lane (my house – look for the blue door!).

Since it’s a potluck, I’d love for everyone to bring along a favorite dish to share – perhaps something traditional from your family or a recipe you particularly enjoy. I’ll be preparing some main dishes and drinks, so you could consider bringing a salad, side dish, or dessert.

Please let me know by November 20th if you’ll be able to join us and what dish you plan to bring, so I can make sure we have a good variety. You can RSVP by calling or texting me at 01234-567890 or by dropping me a note.
