Dear Rose,

It has been a while we have not heard from each other. I believe you are busy with your work.

Betty, a close friend of mine, will have her birthday on the 25th of this month. I have made up my mind to prepare a special birthday party for her, since she is leaving for her tertiary education in Canada next month. This will be the last birthday party we enjoy together in this city. Therefore, a memorable party will be very meaningful for our friendship.

You are good at party decoration and therefore, I need your professional adivce about the design of the setting, as well as the food served. In order to make it outstanding, a theme-based party will be greatly appreciated.

As time is running short, I hope you will be available for a meeting at 10 a.m. on the 10th to discuss the arrangements.
