Dear Sir,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. My name is Kamlesh Chand and I am a student of your “Fundamentals of Cybersecurity” course in Queensborough Community College. I am writing this letter to provide clarification on failing to meet the project submission deadline.

Last week while I was returning home from college, I fell off my bike and injured my right arm with sprain. The Doctor did the checkup and gave me a brace to stabilize the arm. He recommended to avoid stress and movement of the arm for a week until the swelling comes down. Because of which I was not able to complete the project and missed the deadline. I am feeling really regretful to miss the submission deadline and I would not want it to hamper my grades.

Sir, considering my plight I would be really grateful if you could provide me an extension for a week to complete and submit the project.

I am eagerly waiting for a favorable response from you.
