Dear Professor,

My name is Ronit Sukheja, and I am a first-year student who started my course on September 1, 2024. I am writing regarding my mistake of not submitting the project due last week.

I was not in a correct mental state for the past whole month, due to which I was not able to pay attention to my studies. I am living away from home for the first time in my entire life, and I was really homesick, which made me unable to focus on the tasks I should have finished on time. I moved here to pursue my further studies. Although living alone has really been hard for me, as I didn’t have any friends as well.

I am trying really hard to focus on my studies and to get my attention back on track. I just need time until this weekend to finish this project and submit it to you. Please give me this extension, and I will never give you another chance to complain regarding my studies.
