Dear Ms. Kooni,

I am writing to inform you that I could not complete my project, which had a deadline last week, due to some personal problems.

My name is Sadegh. I am a computer science bachelor student who had two other classes with you in former semesters and got an A+ score in both of them. Currently, I am in my final semester, and I would be graduating, hopefully, with first rank.

Unfortunately, last week, just before the project’s deadline, my father got sick, and I had to return to my country to take care of him. When I was going to take the plane, I forgot to take my laptop with me as I was in a hurry because of my dad’s situation. This led me to be unable to upload my results, which were almost ready.

I just got home and have access to my laptop, so I kindly request two more days so I can complete and submit the project.

I appreciate your understanding about my situation.
