Dear John,

I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to offer you a ticket to a concert on September 5th because I’d hate for it to go to waste.

I told you I was going to a gig this Saturday. An up-and-coming singer and guitarist is playing at the Apollo Theatre; you’ll be blown away by how good he is. In addition, the concert starts at 7 p.m., but there’s a support act first, so you can arrive a bit later if you only want to catch the primary performance.

I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be able to use my ticket because I’ve been asked to visit a client in Germany for a product launch and won’t be back until Monday. I’ve worked hard on this assignment for the last month, so it’s super important. Then I figured I’d offer you my ticket instead.

Furthermore, I can post the concrete pass or chat with my brother if you’re free on Saturday evening and want to come along. He’s heading to the gig, so you won’t be alone. Also, you can plan to meet up before or outside the venue at night.
