Dear Librarian,
I hope this message finds you in good spirits. This is Laksh, and I am extremely embarrassed and regretul to write this letter to report you about the loss of a book, which I borrowed recently.
My final exams are scheduled for the next week. In determination to stand at first position as I always do, I visited the library on May 15th, 2926, to borrow a biology book, which is written by an well-known Indian author with numerous examples and explanation in a simple way.
This incident took place when I was returning to my home from the university by a local public transport. I kept the book next to me, due to exhaustion and tiredness, unfortunately, my eyes were shut. When my destination arrived, I got off quickly, and realized the book was forgotten in the bus.
It could not have happened, if I had been a bit careful with your valuable item. I am ready and pleased to propose the compensation for the lost item. I look forward to hearing your positive response and seek your forgiveness for my mistake.
Yours faithfully,
Laksh
